Join Bexley Women’s Club for a morning of hands-on service at the Bishop Griffin Resource Center, an independent nonprofit that has served Columbus’s East Side since 2007. Volunteers will sort and hang clothing for the center’s free Community Store, organizing donations into men’s, women’s, and children’s sections. Out of season items are set aside and saved for the season they belong to, so nothing goes to waste.
This is approachable, satisfying work and a genuinely good way to spend a Monday morning. Both seated and standing positions are available, so there is a spot for every comfort level. No experience is needed and no preparation is required. Come as you are, work alongside other members, and see the difference two hours makes.
The Bishop Griffin Resource Center never charges for food, clothing, or wellness support. Everything the center provides is offered free through its Mid-Ohio Market, Community Store, and community garden programs.
