Summer Fest Community Outreach Opportunity

Bexley Women’s Club will have a tent and table at SummerFest, handing out free giveaways to anyone who stops by. It is one of the highest-traffic community days on the Bexley calendar and one of the best chances we get all year to introduce the club to neighbors who have been meaning to ask what we do.

Volunteering is split into two shifts so you can still enjoy the festival with family and friends. We need a minimum of six volunteers. Every BWC volunteer wears a “Join BWC” pin, available at the table from the Setup Leader.

Setup Leader brings the decor and giveaways provided by BWC, pops the tent, decorates the table, coordinates the Shift 1 volunteers, and hands out “Join BWC” pins to every BWC volunteer working the festival, including those at the Mayor’s Cookout and at BrewFest.

Close Leader coordinates the Shift 2 volunteers, gathers the BWC decor, takes down the tent, and removes everything from the site at the end of the night.

Table volunteers staff the table, greet visitors, and hand out giveaways. No preparation needed and nothing to bring.

Also happening: Mayor Ben’s Cookout Crew. The Mayor is looking for community support at the cookout, in two shifts, 2:45 to 5:30 p.m. or 5:15 to 8:00 p.m. This is a separate signup and separate from the six volunteers we need at the BWC table, so it is a good second option if our table shifts fill.
