Volunteer at the Bishop Griffin Resource Center
October 19 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Volunteer at the Bishop Griffin Resource Center
Bexley Women’s Club returns to the Bishop Griffin Resource Center for a second morning of hands-on service. The center is an independent nonprofit that has served Columbus’s East Side since 2007, and it never charges for food, clothing, or wellness support. Everything it provides is offered free through its Mid-Ohio Market, Community Store, and community garden programs.
Volunteers sort and hang clothing for the free Community Store, organizing donations into men’s, women’s, and children’s sections. Out of season items are set aside and saved for the season they belong to, so nothing goes to waste.
This is approachable, satisfying work and a genuinely good way to spend a Monday morning. Both seated and standing positions are available, so there is a spot for every comfort level. No experience is needed and no preparation is required. Members who came in September will tell you the two hours go quickly.
When: Monday, October 19, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Where: 2867 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43209
Parking: Park behind the center and enter through the door at the back of the building. What to wear: Comfortable clothes. Nothing else to bring.
