Do I have to live in Bexley to be a BWC member?

Not at all. Whether you live inside or outside of the City of Bexley, you are welcome to join Bexley Women’s Club.

Where can I buy House and Garden Tour tickets in advance?

Please check out the House & Garden Tour to purchase tickets online in advance. Physical tickets are also available at Johnson’s Real Ice Cream (2728 E. Main St.) and Graeter’s Ice Cream (2282 E. Main St.) beginning May 12 until noon on May 31.

Day of Tour tickets will be available for $40 at Columbus School for Girls (65 S. Drexel).

Do I have to be a woman to be a BWC member?

No. All gender identities are welcome in BWC.

How much do tickets to the House and Garden Tour cost?

Tickets are $30 if purchased in advance, please check out the House & Garden Tour for more details. Physical tickets are also available at Johnson’s Real Ice Cream (2728 E. Main St.) and Graeter’s Ice Cream (2282 E. Main St.) beginning May 12 until noon on May 31.

Am I required to have a recommendation or referrals from current BWC members to join?

No. At some point in our long history as a club, we had such a requirement, but we no longer require recommendations or referrals by members. All you need to do is to pay the membership dues!

Where can I buy House and Garden Tour tickets on tour day?

Tickets may be purchased on the day of the tour at our tour headquarters at Columbus School for Girls or online at Eventgroove.

What type of membership levels do you have and what benefits can I get by joining BWC?

We have an annual membership and a lifetime membership. Both types of members receive all membership benefits. They receive our membership directory and our monthly newsletters. There are opportunities to attend monthly general member meetings and to join our special interest groups for readers, euchre players, avid cooks and gardeners, art fans, restaurant lovers, and walkers!

If you’d like to be involved in the Club’s administration, we are always looking for members to serve on our mission committees (Scholarship, Community, and Social Services) as well as the Home and Garden Tour committee.

Can I volunteer to help with the House and Garden tour?

Will-Call is available at our headquarters at Columbus School for Girls, Main Entrance, 65 S. Drexel Ave.

Who is eligible to apply for the BWC Scholarships?

Graduating high school seniors who reside in Bexley.

How can local businesses support Bexley Women’s Club?

In addition to being a sponsor for the Bexley Women’s Club House & Garden Tour event every year in June, local businesses can sponsor Bexley Women’s Club’s new website year-around by becoming a featured website sponsor.

Where are the House and Garden Tour headquarters at Columbus School for Girls?

Tour headquarters are at the Main Entrance to CSG, 65 S.Drexel Ave.

Where can I park at House and Garden Tour headquarters?

There is short-term parking in the CSG parking lot, but for long-term parking, please use the ample on-street spaces on Drexel, Powell, or Columbia.

I have my House and Garden Tour ticket. Where do I begin the tour?

You may begin the tour at our headquarters at Columbus School for Girls or at any of the tour locations. You will receive a Tour Book and wrist band no matter where you begin the tour.

Can only young women apply for the Bexley Women’s Club Scholarships?

All Bexley resident graduating seniors- not just young women- are eligible and encouraged to apply!

Do I have to be attending college to apply?

No. Students who plan on attending trade schools are also welcome to apply. The Scholarship committee is willing to consider any and all forms of continuing education, not just university.

I am unable to attend the House and Garden Tour this year but would like to contribute. How do I proceed?

All sponsorship and donor information is available at our House & Garden Tour Page.

Where do the Scholarship funds come from?

Our annual House and Garden Tour is the primary fundraiser for the scholarship program.

What’s new on the House & Garden Tour this year?

We are following city guidelines and will not be providing bottled water as part of the Green Bexley initiative. Please bring your own water in a reusable container. It is possible that masks will be required on the bus or in tour locations. We will be following any community mandates that are in place in June 2025.

What is the benefit of becoming a Website Sponsor?

The Website Sponsors are local businesses that support Bexley Women’s Club’s mission, and with the donation, they have the opportunity to place their logos and a statement on our website for one year.

Sponsor names/logos/statements will be promoted as “the Sponsor of the Month” during the designated month at the Bexley Women’s Club’s Monthly Meeting, as well as on the monthly newsletter and Facebook page shared with our members. Sponsor of the Month is also featured on the Homepage of the website during the designated month.

What is the process to become a Website Sponsor? Who is the contact person?

Please contact the Bexley Women’s Club President (BWCgeneralinfo@gmail.com) and request an application form. Website space is limited to 12 sponsors a year, one for each month.

The designated month to be featured will be first-come, first-serve, and will simply be the next available month unless a specific desired month is mentioned. We will do our best to accommodate!
